Youth Outreach Services Dream Team is partnering with the Rotary Club to help create social entrepreneurs. The Woodbridge Rotary Club is a group of professional men and women who have dedicated and committed their lives to educate and to improve the lives of our youth; especially the at-risk teens and young adults who need directions and guidance to moving forward on a career path. As the CEO and Founder of Youth Outreach Services, I am so happy to become a member of Woodbridge Rotary Club. We are expecting to do great things in the Woodbridge Community, in the school system and helping to reduce recidivism in the state of Virginia by providing positive role models and mentors to our youth. Great Big Gospel Car Wash Flyer
Youth Outreach Services is partnering with Church on the Move, George Mason University Social Entrepreneurship Society and other youth groups to have the Great Big Gospel Car Wash on the property of YOS Non-traditional Career Center on July 25, 2014 from 9:00 am – 6:00 pm at 4291 Prince William Parkway. We are taking this opportunity to educate the community on reducing recidivism and to turn community services into employment and a career path. Youth Outreach Services is renovating the facility to implement 6 incubator businesses in it. One of the businesses is Crown Jewel Detailers, the auto detailing businesses. To kick-off the business, Youth Outreach Services is inviting businesses, organizations, and ministries to come and set up a table for $75.00 or bring 3 cars to wash and vacuum at $30.00 per car. There will be food, games, singing and ministry – all we need is your involvement with the community!

This summer, Youth Outreach Services is implementing a job readiness mentor program to help the ex-offenders to become employable and business owners. Youth Outreach Services is reaching out to college students to help research, develop and implement the job readiness mentor program and have it documented through George Mason University BIS (Bachelor of Individualized Studies ) specializing in transforming the ex-juvenile offender into a social entrepreneur. Youth Outreach Services is please and proud to announce that we have new management coming aboard for Crown Jewel Detailers. His name is Raymond Matthews. He is bringing with him years of experience in auto detailing. He currently owns and operates Second Street Car Wash, runner up of the 2013 Steve Harvey Neighborhood award for best car wash. This past Friday and Saturday, Youth Outreach Services held a kickoff event for the opening of the auto detailing shop. Even though we are in the process of renovating our facility, the auto detailing shop can operate because they utilize products which require no water in order to cleanse the vehicles. The Department Manager, Odell Smith, named the shop Crown Jewel Detailers. We were happy to have a graduate of our 12 Week Job Readiness Mentor Program, Eddie, on site to work with Odell and another volunteer, Ryan, in detailing the vehicles. Continue reading
